Psychotherapy can be a powerful catalyst for change. Through therapy you can uncover the strengths within you to cope with the stress, struggles, and experiences life brings. Helping you understand yourself and your experiences so you are able to make changes that are long-lasting and create a life full of meaning is my passion and expertise as a doctoral level psychologist.
We all need help from time to time. Especially in the world we’re living in today. Seeking therapy is a sign of resourcefulness. Knowing when you can’t handle an issue alone is wise self-awareness. And truly, there are no problems too small or too big to bring to therapy.
Therapy can empower you to cope with and improve a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, low self-esteem, past trauma, identity issues, and insecurities. Psychotherapy can be a deeply enriching experience that is both profoundly personal and life changing. Although this process can be hard work and a bit scary at first, it aims to dig to the deepest possible level so that change is long lasting.
Extensive training in psychodynamic and existential therapies, and a natural sense of empathy, give me the resources to address your needs. During therapy, we will focus on the deeper issues, which if left unresolved, can create dramatic negative shifts in your mood and perspective. My gentle, strengths-based approach will help you recognize the best in yourself and tolerate difficult feelings, while promoting changes in your life. I have a nonjudgmental attitude and appreciate each individual’s cultural, spiritual, and family backgrounds. My style is collaborative and respectful; together we will consider how experiences from the past intersect with the present and focus on what is most meaningful to you now.
It’s time to start feeling better!

Outside of Therapy
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a large extended family in the area, which means it’s always someone’s birthday and we love to celebrate together with pizza and multi-generational fun! I also enjoy writing. I write a good deal of poetry, but also write professionally. When I’m not hanging out with family or writing, I’m usually on our rural property having fun with the dogs.
